Protect wild animals
As a monthly donor you secure long term protection of large scale wilderness areas and thousands of wild animals, trees and plants in southern Africa. We can’t make it without you!
What you support
Your monthly donation helps us protect larger areas of land and more wild animals. Your support goes to Akashinga; the world’s first female ranger unit protecting nature in some of southern Africa’s most threatened ecosystems. Your donation pays for ranger training, salaries, uniforms and equipment to keep the rangers operational. Akashinga has grown from 16 to now having 245 women deployed, protection a network of 3 million hectares of land. Our goal is to have 1,000 women deployed by 2026. With your help, we can make it happen!
THE AREA WE PROTECT
Together with our local partner organization, we protect the critical ecosystem in Zambezi Valley. The area is home to one of the continent’s largest elephant populations along with another 200 species of mammals, 700 species of birds, 1,100 species of butterflies, 300 species of reptiles, 150 species of fish and more than 7,000 species of trees and plants. The area’s many waterways and canals which link to the Zambezi River make the conservation of these habitats holistic.
