How was the idea to Wildhood born?
I wanted to build a small and effective organisation that makes a hands-on difference for threatened species and their habitats. The exploitation and destruction of wildlife and nature makes me both angry and sad, and I refuse to just watch it happening
What is your source of inspiration?
The people whose work Wildhood enables and support on the ground, no doubt! Being able to follow the impact that their efforts are having on wildlife populations, nature and local communities motivates me to continue the fight for a living and more kind planet. I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who support our work, without you no Wildhood!
Why is Wildhood’s work important?
Protecting and restoring biodiversity is one of the greatest and most urgent challenges of our time. Our entire existence, climate, food- and water supply rely on healthy ecosystems and the large mammals are just as important as the smallest insects.
What is your most powerful nature experience?
To go to sleep in a tent at the rangers camp, under a starlit sky, after a day full of adventures and impressions – that’s unbeatable. The sound of the night-active animals and the trumpeting of elephants is the best bedtime story I can imagine!
