During Q2, the Akashinga rangers patrolled 6.673 km on foot and 52.410 km by vehicle. They mitigated 118 human wildlife conflicts with elephants, leopards, hyenas and baboons.
Our dogs spent a total of 576 hours on rhino monitoring and 612 hours on operations searching for and arresting poachers.
We are proud to support the protection of more than 3 000 000 hectares of wilderness in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The work currently employs 274 female rangers (an addition of 29 rangers compared to the previous quarter) and 6 dogs with their ha
ndlers. Thanks to our scholarships, 219 children and youths are able to attend school in 2023.
