Wildhood is currently in Kenya visiting and learning more about the work done on the ground to protect Kenya’s elephants and rhinos.

Yesterday Wildhood invited partners and friends to an exclusive talk by Damien Mander, founder of IAPF – International Anti Poaching Foundation, to raise awareness about poaching and wildlife trafficking.

Today the world celebrates the International Day of Forests, a global celebration providing a platform to raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests and of trees outside forests.

Today on February 27th South Africa’s Department of Environmental Affairs stated that a total of 1,054 rhinos were slaughtered for their horns in 2016. This is a 10% decline from 2015 when 1,175 rhinos where killed. Although a decline in figures, the crisis continues.

Swedish newspaper Expressen today highlights the brutal and illegal poaching on rhinos in South Africa and how the Anti-Poaching unit Protrack, supported by Wildhood Foundation, is operating to protect the rhinos.

We are happy to share that our Christmas campaign have raised over 25.000 SEK, from which 100% will go straight to help saving our most threatened species, amongst them the precious rhinos, from extinction.
